Body Politics

Body parts get exaggerated to make the story more fantastical, and to intensify the meaning of that part’s function. That intensity translates into a landscape of hyper-charged with both positive and negative energy, or to borrow from Bosch, into a garden of small delights and little terrors. Body politics of women is defined as a feminist's reclaiming a woman's body in various spaces of society. The objectification of the woman’s body is intrinsic to how societies are shaped, defined, and function. Women's reproductive rights, their roles in the workplace, cultural perception are challenged when feminists work to create spaces and art that defy these institutional constructs.
